Fort Worthy Events

This is the 45th anniversary of the most infamous murders in Texas history, right here in Fort Worth. Priscilla Davis was living in the Hulen Street mansion she shared with her then estranged husband, Cullen Davis. On August 3, 1976, a “man in black” murdered two people (Priscilla’s twelve-year-old daughter & her then-boyfriend) and shot an additional two, including Priscilla. Priscilla and another eyewitness said it was Cullen. For the next three years, two trials commenced which acquitted Cullen of all charges. He was the wealthiest man ever to stand trial for murder at that time. Cullen married his then-girlfriend, who was his alibi for the murders and Priscilla moved to Dallas with 3.4 million dollars. When moving to Dallas in 1981, she was looking for a fresh start but her flashy lifestyle and ongoing civil court battles with Cullen prevented her from getting much peace. In 1995, at the age of 54, she meets a younger gay man, Greg Brown, who will become her lover and ultimately the author of this book. This story chronicles the murders as well as her and Brown’s life together after the murders. This book is riveting, informative, and entertaining all at once. Greg will be @studio74vintage this Saturday, June 26th, from 12-4pm. His book will be available for purchase that day for $15 and will be autographed by him as well. He is looking forward to sharing stories with you all and is happy to know that her story still resonates with the people of Fort Worth 45 years later. Please follow Studio 74 Vintage on Facebook and/or Instagram for updates to the event. Studio 74 Vintage is located at 4908 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
